Abstract
28 out of 34 surgically treated patients with pelvic ring injuries could be checked up. More than 75% of these patients, a rate which is relatively high, suffered from injuries to the ligament joints of the pelvic ring structure. In our cases, the "Schnürsenkel" osteosynthesis, a combination of screws and wire curls, has proved to be very favorable. After having introduced this operation technique, we didn't abandon it any more. 28 patients could be submitted to a check-up examination, which showed no complaints in nine patients and little complaints in fourteen patients. Five patients reported partly considerable subjective troubles, however, only one patient had correspondent X-ray findings. In our opinion, the relatively good results are due to the open reposition which is the only method allowing a complete restoration of the original anatomical structures as well as to the operation technique applied by us.Entities:
