The introduction of pulmonary artery pressure and cardiac output measurements in a district general hospital.

Abstract

The problems encountered in introducing a pulmonary artery (PA) pressure and cardiac output (CO) measurement facility in a district general hospital intensive care unit are enumerated. The indications for its use are briefly reviewed.
