Epinephrine mediated increases in plasma cholesterol.

J E Dimsdale, J A Herd, L H Hartley.

Abstract

The effect of physiological elevations of plasma epinephrine levels on plasma cholesterol levels was studied in ten cynomolgus monkeys. Epinephrine was increased 5 days/week for 6 hr/day. After 2 weeks, the cholesterol levels increased on the average of 15 mg% (p less than 0.01).
