The quadriceps musculocutaneous flap: a reliable, sensate flap for the hemipelvectomy defect.

We have presented a detailed account of the anatomy, technique, and indications for the use of the quadriceps musculocutaneous flap. Our experience thus far has proved this flap to be a desirable alternative to the traditional hemipelvectomy closure technique in that it provides a more durable and reliable pelvic coverage for these patients.
