Left ventricular fistula as a cause of intractable angina pectoris. Successful surgical repair.

L B Housman, J Morse, B Litchford, R Stein, J Mazur, A Starr.

Abstract

Two patients had intractable angina pectoris due to left-coronary-artery to left-ventricle fistulas. Surgical repair resulted in complete relief of symptoms. Postoperative cardiac catheterization showed obliteration of the fistulas, with preservation of ventricular function. Operative therapy is indicated in this disorder.
