Abstract
We described a patient with isolated duodenal varices of the third portion, preoperatively diagnosed by hypotonic duodenography and endoscopy. These varices seemed to be caused by portal hypertension due to liver cirrhosis. The third to the fourth portion of duodenum should be examined carefully in patients with liver cirrhosis, especially with gastrointestinal bleedings of unknown origin.Entities:
