Toxocara canis endophthalmitis with low ELISA titer.

R A Kielar.

Abstract

A five-year old boy had clinical findings consistent with ocular toxocariasis, blood eosinophilia, and repetitive negative (titer 1:2) ELISA. The eye was enucleated and larval fragments consistent with Toxocara were present within an eosinophilic granuloma in the vitreous cavity overlying a chorioretinal scar entrance site.
