Abstract
A case of primary peritonitis caused by Haemophilus influenzae type b biotype 2 in a 3-year-old child is described. The organism was isolated from peritoneal fluid. This is the first case of documented peritoneal infection due to this species in a patient who showed no evidence of being immunocompromised.Entities:
