Abstract
Occupation exposure to metals has been related to impaired reproduction in males. This report summarizes autoradiographic studies on the distribution of cadmium (Cd), chromium (Cr) and arsenic (As) in the testis and epididymis of rodents. Cd and Cr strongly accumulated in the interstitial tissues, indicating an effect on hormone production (Leydig cells) and blood supply or both. Arsenic accumulated in the lumen of the duct of epididymis causing long-term exposure of the semen.Entities:
