Abstract
Urinary PGE2 excretion is influenced by urinary pH, being higher at high pH values. Indomethacin (10 mg/kg body wt, i.p.) was found to reduce urinary PGE2 excretion to the same absolute value irrespective of the initial PGE2 output. It is concluded that measurements of 'percentage inhibition' of urinary PGE2 excretion by non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents must be interpreted with caution.Entities:
