Organizational burnout programs.

Abstract

Nurse executives have all felt the negative impact of stress and burnout in their organizations. As data emerge supporting the benefits of burnout and stress intervention programs in the workplace, nurse executives are in a unique position to foster development of organizational approaches to manage or prevent burnout. This article will describe a specific nurse administration generated antiburnout program applicable to health care organizations.
