Abstract
A study of the HLA-A, B and DR antigens and properdin factor B allotypes of 26 patients with lichen sclerosus et atrophicus and a normal control population showed an increase in the HLA-Aw31 antigen only. However, when the HLA-A and B frequencies were combined with the results of a previous independent study a significant increase in both HLA-Aw31 and HLA-B40 was noted. These findings suggest an association between lichen sclerosus et atrophicus and the HLA system.Entities:
