Abstract
Neuronal cell bodies in the reticular thalamic nucleus (R) were labeled with wheat germ agglutinin-conjugated horseradish peroxidase (WGA-HRP) which was injected contralaterally into the posterior column nuclei (PCN) in the cat. The tracer was assumed to be transported to the posterolateral ventral thalamic nucleus (VPL), where it could escape from axon terminals of the PCN neurons and then be taken up by axon terminals of R neurons to label retrogradely the cell bodies of the R neurons.Entities:
