Profiles of cross-country and alpine skiers.

J Karlsson.

Abstract

Skiers were profiled in regard to cardiovascular fitness, muscle strength, motor control, coordination, and muscle fiber composition. Skiing injuries were also profiled. The profile is useful in determining the potential for injury and in developing training programs to prevent injuries.
