Fibrescope urethrocystoscopy.

C G Fowler.

Abstract

Cystourethroscopy with a small calibre flexible fibrescope may be performed under topical lignocaine anaesthesia with less discomfort to the patient than with a conventional rigid cystoscope. The method is safe and reliable. The technique is especially useful in out-patient surveillance of bladder cancer.
