Abstract
Oblique views of the chest under scopic control and computed tomography have been obtained in 7 patients with a known history of exposure to asbestos fibers, and evidence of pleural plaques on the postero-anterior view of the chest. The distribution of the radiological findings is similar with both the techniques; however, CT is more sensitive in detecting small lesions at the margino-costal anterior and posterior level, both calcific or not. CT seems also more sensitive in detecting parenchymal lesions. The role of CT in this pathology is briefly discussed.Entities:
