Abstract
Cocaine abuse today is truly a national epidemic that encompasses all ages, economic and ethnic groups. This article focuses on the physiological effects of cocaine and the destructive nature of the drug in terms of the abuser's powerlessness over highly addictive qualities. Cocaine abuse in our nation will continue to increase unless the federal government develops more stringent policies to drastically decrease the amount of cocaine imported into the United States from source countries.Entities:
