B Bolívar, J R Villalbí.

Abstract

The results of a prevalence survey of lice and a control program in the primary schools of a city in the Barcelona metropolitan area (Spain) are presented. Crude prevalence was 6.10%, standard deviation 2.66. In another survey three months later, prevalence was 1.92%. Differences among school grades had fallen. Higher infestation levels were found between third and sixth grades.
