Abstract
The serum antibody response against staphylococcal antigens was investigated by crossed immunoelectrophoresis in 79 patients with recurrent staphylococcal furunculosis. The levels of precipitating antibodies were significantly higher than in normal controls. Patients increased their antibody levels during an acute exacerbation. It was not possible to differentiate between a severe and a mild infection by means of antibody level.Entities:
