Recurrent dislocation of the tibialis posterior tendon--a case report with a new surgical approach.

W D Stanish, N Vincent.

Abstract

Recurrent dislocation of the tibialis posterior tendon of the ankle is a rare problem, but may result in considerable disability, particularly in the athlete. The description of a simple surgical technique which provides immediate stabilization of the tendon is discussed. This technique is simple and allows early mobilization, resulting in prompt return to athletics.
