The correlation between the amplitude of accommodation and low-luminance myopia.

D Epstein.

Abstract

The relationship between the amplitude of accommodation and low-luminance myopia was studied in subjects whose ages ranged from 20 to 65. The correlation coefficient values obtained indicate a strong positive correlation between these two factors. The results are discussed in the context of previously-published experimental evidence pointing to accommodation as the primary cause of low-luminance myopia.
