Spontaneous perforation of the common hepatic duct: report of seven cases.

Abstract

Spontaneous perforation of the common hepatic duct is rare. Only 11 cases have been reported since McWilliams reported the first in 1912. Herewith, seven patients with spontaneous perforation of the hepatic duct treated between 1953-1980 at the Hunan Medical College Hospital in Ghangsha, China are added.
