Abstract
The simultaneous recovery of Aeromonas hydrophila and Aeromonas caviae from the stool of a 49-year-old woman with watery diarrhea was facilitated through the use of a blood agar medium which detected the hemolytic capability of A. hydrophila. In vitro phenotypic tests support the conclusion that only the A. hydrophila isolate was clinically significant.Entities:
