[Effect of serotonin on the electrical activity of the PPa2 neuron in the edible snail].

Serotonin in perfusion concentration of 1.10(-4) M exerted phasic effects upon the PPa2 neuron activity in grape snail preparation. The same effects were observed with light concentrations of calcium solution. Special experiments revealed the effects of repeated serotonin applications in the same neuron. The data obtained were considered in view the modulating role of serotonin in the process of regulation of the central neurons excitation.
