Basic principles of magnetic resonance imaging.

D M Kramer.

Abstract

This article presents a description of how magnetic resonance signals arise, how they are observed, and how they are used to form images. Also discussed are what these signals can reveal about various properties of tissue and what the roles of key instrument settings are in maximizing the information.
