Abstract
An adult female Papio hamadryas being used in reproductive studies was found moribund unexpectedly. Palpation revealed acute abdominal pain and a pelvic mass. A tentative diagnosis of endometriosis and shock was made. Necropsy and histological examination confirmed the diagnosis of endometriosis and identified an associated bacterial peritonitis.Entities:
