Abstract
Wound infections are a significant complication following major oncological head and neck surgery. In view of the controversy surrounding the use of chemoprophylaxis a controlled trial was designed. Intravenous Augmentin (amoxycillin and clavulanic acid) was shown to reduce significantly (P less than 0.025) the incidence of postoperative sepsis.Entities:
