Abstract
The case of a 12 yr. old girl, presenting with left flank pain, macrohematuria due to left renal arterial thrombosis, is described. Subsequent appearance of purpura, G.I. bleeding, arthritis suggested the diagnosis of Schönlein-Henoch syndrome, which was confirmed by negative serology and contralateral renal biopsy. Major arterial thrombosis, as seen in this patient, is an extremely rare presenting symptom of Schönlein-Henoch syndrome.Entities:
