Abstract
Schistosomiasis of the uterine cervix is the most common form of genital schistosomiasis, and is most frequently associated with Schistosoma haematobium infection. Cervical schistosomiasis assumes medical importance because clinically it may be mistaken for cervical malignancy. Additionally, it has been proposed that cervical schistosomiasis may lead to the development of cervical carcinoma. In this regard, a patient having squamous cell carcinoma of the cervix in association with cervical schistosomiasis is described, and the recent literature discussing this relationship is reviewed.Entities:
