Primary malignant melanoma of the oesophagus.

W Roesch, H G Rohner.

Abstract

Primary malignant melanoma of the oesophagus is a rare tumour, whereas metastatic disease originating from melanomas is occasionally encountered in the upper GI-tract. Two cases of endoscopically diagnosed primary esophageal melanomas are presented which were treated by surgery and radiotherapy combined with immunostimulation, respectively.
