Abstract
Outward Na+, K+-cotransport was 50% higher in female than in male rat red cells (50%). Ovariectomy induced a marked decrease in the activity of this system. Oestradiol increased and progesterone decreased Na+, K+-cotransport in ovariectomized rats.Entities:
