Abstract
Urine from 72 children was tested for leukocyturia simultaneously by means of the Cytur-Test and microscopically in a counting chamber. Total agreement of both methods in detection of leukocyturia was noted in 69 cases (96%). Bacteriuria had no influence on the results of the Cytur-Test. It is concluded that the Cytur-Test is a sensitive and specific means for detection of leukocyturia, being especially suitable in the ambulatory practice.Entities:
