Intravenous anaesthesia in the upper limb: a review of 225 cases.

Abstract

The technique of intravenous regional anaesthesia for the upper limb is described and its use in 225 patients is reported. The method can be used for elective or emergency surgery on the hand or upper limb and has been found to be safe, simple and effective.
