Abstract
The following report describes a case of culture-negative subacute bacterial endocarditis complicated by disseminated intravascular coagulation which failed to respond to therapy with antibiotics and heparin. The coagulopathy resolved within 24 hours after the affected heart valves were replaced with prosthetic valves.Entities:
