Abstract
More than 200 patients have undergone percutaneous stone extraction at our institution. With the percutaneous nephrostomy tract as the conduit to the urinary tract we have removed 95 per cent of the pelviocaliceal stones and 80 per cent of the ureteral stones with grasping forceps, baskets, ultrasonic lithotripsy or a combination of these procedures. Complications were few and patients returned to work sooner than after an open operation.Entities:
