Abstract
Injectable collagen has been used successfully to improve skin contour defects. This paper will briefly review the biosynthesis, the preparation, and the clinical application of this new material. Collagen is the major structural protein of the extracellular matrix and provides a scaffolding for the support cells. Skin collagen is composed of short fibriles grouped in bundles which are randomly orientated to provide strength and resiliency in all directions of the skin place.Entities:
