Abstract
We present the fourth reported case of metastases of adenocarcinoma from the prostate to the larynx. The patient was a 64-year-old male who presented with stridor from a smooth subglottic mass six months after he had been diagnosed as having adenocarcinoma of the prostate with bone secondaries. We have reviewed the mechanisms by which such a tumour might metastasize to the larynx and we feel that ossification in the laryngeal cartilages may be important in the development of such metastases.Entities:
