Medial dislocation of the radial head following breech delivery: a case report and review of the literature.

O Bayne, M Rang.

Abstract

A case is reported of an isolated radial head dislocation following breech delivery. A search of the literature revealed only one other reported case following difficult delivery, which raises questions as to the mechanism of injury producing this lesion. Although a rare condition, dislocation of the radial head following difficult delivery can result in permanent elbow deformity.
