Abstract
We are reporting a case of culture-proven brucella sacro-iliitis. The treatment included surgical drainage and curettage together with tetracycline and streptomycin. A five-year follow-up showed complete cure: the patient was free of symptoms, the sacro-iliac joint was normal and a serologic test negative. The diagnostic difficulties, the differential diagnosis and the appropriate treatment are also discussed in this paper.Entities:
