Abstract
A preliminary study on four enzymes, adenylate kinase, phosphoglucomutase, phosphogluconate dehydrogenase and esterase, of Fasciola sp. found in Japan was carried out by horizontal starch gel electrophoresis. Among them, two enzymes, adenylate kinase and phosphoglucomutase, showed variations in the natural population, but the frequencies of the variants were considerably low; the remainders, phosphogluconate dehydrogenase and esterase, showed no variation.Entities:
