Abstract
The concept of treatment of chronic glomerulonephritis, practiced more than 2 decenniums led to unsatisfying results. All over the world the chronic glomerulonephritis is the most expensive in economic respect renal disease. It is still the most frequent indication to dialysis and transplantation. The judgment of the success of therapy was rendered difficult by several factors. Different nomenclatures, inhomogeneous dosages and durations of therapy, inhomogeneous judgments of the beginning of therapy, of the degree of activity and the judgment of effectivity render the comparison difficult. The results from 32 studies are given in form of tables. Newer knowledge of the immune state and of the mediators of inflammation will broaden the therapeutic basis in a generally accepted immunogenesis of the chronic glomerulonephritis and will lead to an equalized selective immunotherapy.Entities:
