The use of autogenous vein for nerve grafting.

D H Rice, F D Berstein.

Abstract

The use of autogenous femoral vein to graft a resected segment of sciatic nerve in 10 rats suggests that autogenous vein can serve as a satisfactory nerve graft conduit. Scar tissue within the vein or distal nerve was minimal.
