Abstract
In the past five years, new therapeutic modalities have been discovered that have revolutionized the medical and surgical management of glaucoma. New methods of drug delivery have been developed for pilocarpine and epinephrine. Timolol maleate has become the most widely used drug in the treatment of glaucoma since it was approved for general use in 1978. This chapter reviews the pharmacology of the newer antiglaucoma medications and gives a perspective on the role of laser surgery in open-angle glaucoma.Entities:
