[The effect of serum from a patient with myeloma and diffuse muscular hypertrophy on the growth of human muscle cells in culture].

On normal human muscle cells, the serum of a patient with myeloma producing IgG free kappa light chains and with muscle hypertrophy accelerated the myoblast fusion and the myotubes formed were abnormally large. This serum did not enhance cell proliferation.
