[Treatment and treatment results of Zenker's diverticulum].

Abstract

A series of 51 patients is described who were treated surgically for a Zenker's diverticulum. The surgical techniques available and the results of treatment are discussed. This report emphasises the usefulness of the diverticulofixatio described by Koenig. This was especially useful in elderly patients in poor general condition.
