Complications of laser surgery.

It is only through meticulous attention to detail that complications in the use of lasers can be avoided. Lasers can be efficient, safe, and effective tools for the head and neck surgeon. However, it is imperative that the surgeon take all precautions so that the incidence of complications, uniquely attributable to laser energy, will be kept to a minimum. Inattention to detail may expose the patient to an unnecessary risk of complications.
