Abstract
Typical CT-findings of carotid-cavernous sinus fistulas are asymmetric enlargement and bulging of the lateral contours of the cavernous sinus and dilatation of draining orbital and facial veins. They can be best demonstrated with thin-section scans and rapid intravenous bolus injection of contrast agent. Among the differential diagnoses, a variety of orbital, intrasellar and parasellar lesions must be considered. For definitive radiologic diagnosis cerebral angiography continues to be required.Entities:
