B C Pecaro, W J Garehime.

Abstract

The CO2 laser as a surgical tool for the oral and maxillofacial surgeon is discussed. Basic laser physics as it applies to clinical use is presented. Forty cases in which the CO2 laser was used are reviewed. The CO2 laser may represent a significant advancement in and an alternative therapy for treatment of soft-tissue oral lesions.
