Abstract
2 additional examples of sialoadenoma papilliferum, one occurring in the palate of a 32-year-old woman and the other in the palate of a 43-year-old man, have been added to the previously reported 11 cases. 9 of the 13 reported cases occurred in the palate with a 5.5:1 prevalence in men. The age at discovery ranged from 32 to 77 years. Whether these lesions represent a benign salivary gland tumor or hyperplasia of duct epithelium remains debatable. Surgical excision apparently effects a cure as no recurrences have been reported.Entities:
