Regulation of cerebral hemodynamics in health and disease.

Abstract

A brief review of the physiological control of cerebral hemodynamics in normal subjects is provided with an account of how these control mechanisms may become disturbed by disease processes which often include changes in the viscosity of the blood as well as other hemorheologic influences.
